# Abort Pairing Token Rotation

You can abort [token rotation](/administration-new-ui/fleet-settings/manage-device-project-pairing-tokens/rotate-device-project-token.md) on any devices that have a rotation status of Pending. When you abort a token rotation, the action does the following:

* Ensures that devices that are pending rotation will not be rotated.
* Does not stop rotation in devices that are currently in the process of rotation.
* Does not roll back devices that have already rotated the tokens.
* Changes devices in Failed status to “no rotation”. This means that a failed rotation is not counted as a rotation.
* For devices that have the status “In progress”, the Abort Token Rotation button is disabled.

To abort a pairing token rotation, do the following:

1. In Fleet Settings, go to the **Pairing Token** tab.
2. In a row that shows one or more devices with rotation status Pending, click the **More** icon (three dots) on the right and choose **Abort Rotation**.

3. When prompted, confirm the action.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.connect.jfrog.io/administration-new-ui/fleet-settings/manage-device-project-pairing-tokens/abort-token-rotation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
