# Fleet Permission Descriptions

When you [add a user to a fleet](/administration-new-ui/general-settings/user-management/add-user-from-jpd-artifactory-1/add-user-to-a-project.md) in [JFrog Connect](https://jfrog.com/connect/), you have to assign fleet permissions to the user. The table below provides descriptions of the fleet-specific permissions that you may assign.

| Fleet Permission Name             | Description                                                                                          |
| --------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Manage groups                     | Create, modify, and delete groups. When you delete a group, the associated devices are also deleted. |
| Create and modify remote commands | Create new and modify existing commands.                                                             |
| Create and deploy updates         | Deploy OTA software updates to devices.                                                              |
| Modify devices                    | Edit device details such as name, group, description, and location.                                  |
| Register and move devices         | Register new devices to fleets and move devices from one fleet to another.                           |
| Remote terminal and port tunnel   | Open remote control sessions on devices.                                                             |
| Run remote commands               | Run Bash commands on devices through the terminal.                                                   |
