JFrog Account
JFrog Connect enables integrating your JFrog Platform account to use Artifactory, JFrog Container Registry, and Release Bundle as part of your OTA updates.

JFrog Platform Instance

Default Instance

  • By registering to JFrog Connect, a default instance of JFrog Platform Free Tier will be automatically created and integrated.
  • Upon using JFrog SSO, the current instance of JFrog Platform will be assigned as the default account and will automatically be integrated into Connect.
You may find your JFrog platform instance domain under your account settings.
Integration of any other repositories or artifactory instances of your choice is still viable, regardless of the default JFrog instance.
Please see JFrog Platform for more information.

Connecting your JFrog Platform with JFrog Connect

To configure a JFrog Platform Account in JFrog Connect follow these actions:
  1. 1.
In the Connect platform go to the Create Update Flow tab on the Updates page.
  2. 2.
Click on the JFrog tab, drag one of JFrog's blocks onto the Update Flow and click on that Block.
  3. 3.
Click on the Add Account button, and enter the following details:
    • A Display name to use for future reference (e.g., Matt’s Account)
    • Your JFrog Platform URL (e.g., my-account.jfrog.io)
    • Your Username with which you log in to your JFrog account (e.g., my-username)
    • An Access Token that you’ll need to generate.
  4. 4.
Finally, click on the Save Account button and choose the new account you just created, and continue the deployment.

Generating an Access Token:

  • To generate a new token, you can refer to JFrog Docs.
When generating a new Access Token, it's important to pay attention to a couple of things:
  • Expiration Date - An expired Access Token will cause the update deployment to fail.
  • Service Permissions - To use the JFrog update blocks, we ask for the Artifactory service permission.
