JFrog Platform Integration makes IoT and Edge devices first-class citizens in a DevOps Platform, ensuring speed, reliability, and security of IoT software updates with device management at scale.

JFrog Platform Instance

By default, Connect creates you a JFrog platform instance in order to automatically push and store artifacts and pull artifacts by your edge devices when deploying an update.

Default Instance

  • By registering to JFrog Connect, a default instance of JFrog Platform Free Tier will be automatically created and integrated.
  • By default, Connect creates 2 repositories:
    • connect-default-docker - will be used by the "Deploy container" and "Release bundle" update blocks.
    • connect-default-generic - will be used by the "Deploy files", "Artifacts" and "Release bundle" update blocks.
You may find your JFrog platform instance domain under your account settings. If you have registered to Connect before April 2022, please follow this guide instead.
Integration of any other repositories or Artifactory instances of your choice is still viable, regardless of the default JFrog instance.

XRay - Reduce Security & Compliance Risk

JFrog Xray is a universal software composition analysis (SCA) solution that natively integrates with Artifactory, giving DevSecOps teams an easy way to proactively identify open source vulnerabilities and license compliance violations, before they manifest in production.
  • Deep recursive scanning examines all the underlying layers and dependencies of components, even those packaged in Docker images, and zip files.

Guide to find your JFrog instance domain for users that were registered before April 2022

    Go to the Updates category.
  2. 2.
    Click on the tab "Create Update Flow"
  3. 3.
    Switch the agent version slide to Agent 6.0
  4. 4.
    Drag&Drop the "Artifacts" block.
  5. 5.
    Click on the block and under the "JFrog account" line, make sure your dropdown is on "Default Connect".
  6. 6.
    On the right side of the "Default Connect" click on the "eye" icon.
  7. 7.
    Your instance domain will be under the "JFrog Platform URL" parameter.
On the login page, make sure to reset your password in order to create a password for your JFrog platform instance.
By default, only the Admin user at Connect is integrated into the JFrog Platform. In case a non-admin Connect user would like to access it, please ask your admin to invite that user through the platform settings.
