Your JFrog Connect account will be more secure if you use multi-factor authentication (MFA) for logging in. The login information for your account is managed by the JFrog Platform, so you will use the platform to set this up.
To set up MFA, you must have permissions to “Invite and Modify Accounts”.
When you set up MFA, it will take effect for all users in the account. Likewise, if you switch back to single password authentication, the change will be applied to all users in the account.
Before you begin this procedure, install the Google Authenticator on your mobile device. You can find it in the Google Play Store.
To set up MFA, do the following:
In Connect, go to Settings in the left navigation tree and click the Account tab.
Click the JFrog Platform link.
In the JFrog Platform page, click the Settings icon in the upper right, and choose Platform Security.
Scroll down until you see the Multi-factor Authentication Methods. Mark Enable Google Authenticator and save.
Go to your User icon and log out of the platform.
Log out of Connect and log in again. When you log in again, you will be prompted to add the JFrog account to your Google Authenticator on your mobile device, using a QR code.
